It's 2020 and Thank you very much for your video! I replaced my nexus 7 2013 battery but it still had trouble charging. Then I found your video and squeezed my charging port, now it's finally charging! Thank you so much!

Good job, Mark. I've seen some that were very tough to remove. I'm going to try Chip Quik next time.

I have had a similar issue with an S2 & S4 that took some googling to fix and all it was was an accumulation of some lint from my pocket squishing to the end of the socket and using a flattened fine wire was able to pick it out when device was turned off.

The Nexus 7 2013 I have started charging intermittently. Replaced the battery as it was quite swollen. Eventually charging failed completely. Confirmed it was not the USB socket. Replaced the charging board ME571K_SUB with a new one. Still no charging. Will a Qi wireless charger work? Any advice, thanks.

Mine says it is charging on AC but the % doesnt actually increase and continues to decrease while charging
