Nexus 7 tip: If it refuses to start after a dead battery(works for any Android)

This is a small useful tip. Some times when battery completely dies out, Nexus 7 just refuses to boot till certain time. Here's a small tip which can enable you to boot it immediately.

LOL, I just tried your suggestion. IT WORKED. This thing has been in a drawer about 5 years. I finally found the old cable in a different drawer. You know I have about 20 power cables but I found only 1 to work. Weird. Anyway, thank you.

initially didn't work but I held buttons down for 20 to 30 seconds next time and it worked! A picture of a barrel shaped thing ?battery and a lined green arrow with the word start in it pointing to the power button appeared, pressed power button again and it started booting up, thanks for this tip

Simply cannot get this Nexus 7 to start up. I've tried everything (short of hot-wiring the battery), including a new battery but none of the methods is working.

I'd really like to know, from others here, whether they ever had similar difficulties with these methods but still managed to get their Nexus to boot up.

I'm beginning to think that this merits a class action lawsuit; I recall having these bootup issues within the first year of owning this thing.

i have recieved my AsusN7 32GB to day and have a problem in charging but now ok i well just wait how many hour it well be full, now i have charging power .to activate your tab press hold power and volume + for 15 sec while you plug your charger in your outlet  , it well boot up to google but it well shut off and says low batery but dont worry it is charging now, when u press power botton it well display batery icon charging ang active charging .

This + removing and reinserting the power cable should fix most Nexus boot issues.
