How To Replace A Mobile Home Window

I ordered the mobile home window from my local mobile home parts supplier. Do a web search for "mobile home parts" for your area (city).

I fold some 15lb felt paper or tyvek around the framing studs then put butyl tape over that for waterproofing. And for whoever wants to know, I recommend to take a look at the wood framing surrounding the window and checking it for rot or mold and repair/replace accordingly and then follow up with the above mentioned waterproofing. Moisture reeks havoc on studs if it has access. Lastly you should caulk around the seams as well with window/door sealant

Thanks, I've been needing to change out a window on my mobile home. I've had the replacement in the shed for a couple of months now, making do with the plywood I put up months prior. Have been dreading the task. Your video gave a great heads up, so at least I'm not going in blind. Worked in aircraft manufacturing for years. You wouldn't think I'd be gunshy around window replacement. Carpentry of any kind was never in my bag of tricks. Thanks again.

I have a mobile home built in 93. Will I be able to do this? Where would I find replacement windows? I have a draft coming in from multiple windows. I believe replacing the windows will do the trick

Am Looking to replace 3 of my mobile home windows but it seems windows are hard to come by now because of all the back log. I've contacted 2 places and both said I wouldn't be able to get aluminum windows until September or vinyl windows until July. Kinro aluminum windows are what I was looking for. Anyways, great video. It will help a lot if and when I get them... lol.
