Jon Stewart has an important message for Congress about renewing the Zadroga Act… only no one can hear it unless he Trumps it up.

The fact Jon Stewart has to crash The Late Show and speak in an exaggerated Trump impression about whether or not our 9/11 first responders should continue receiving health coverage speaks volumes about how fucked this country is.

My father is 1 of the first responder's supported by the Zadroga Act. He has colon cancer from saving the lives of countless Americans of every religion, race, and state. Days after 9/11 I was in 5th grade wondering if my dad would come home and if he was even alright while he picked people out of the rubble of the twin towers. The Zadroga Act enabled him to get the care he needed so he could get part of his life back. He is no longer able to work and is on permanent disability. He did not ask for a medal for what he did on 9/11, he didn't even ask for a thank you. He is happy with the fact he saved so many lives on that day and what he did not only for the City of New York, where he was born, but his country. He is a damn hero... lets start treating our heroes like we should. Call your Congressman: whatever state your in, take a couple minutes out of your day, and make the call for the people who we called to action when we needed it the most. HELP PASS THE ZADROGA ACT FOR GOOD! It may not have an effect on your life, but please call, do it for my Dad if anything....cause I need the man that I look up to in my life. Bless.
