I’d like to note that you’re still safe with this feature existing. It’s optional to use it. If you side load only use open source projects from the devs themselves doing this is very safe. Don’t pirate as these third party app sites which are not supported by the devs could be Trojan horses which look like the app but aren’t. The scariest ones are when it’s the real app but has a backdoor which allows viruses to install in the background.

It's completely misleading *Can't allow sideloading without compromising security*
MacOS supports sideloading and it has *Gatekeeper Support* to review the sideloaded app and not effect system.
It's  30% tax they're trying to save so security is bogus excuse, but sadly many people are falling for that.

If apple does this then alot of people will switch from android to ios easily…the only thing i hate about iphones is you cant download whatever you want..they already got the smoothness and the speed over android but sadly apple wont do it because stuff like apple arcade and other apps in the app store that you have to pay for would be downloadable for free from the web so android it is 😅

I do feel like this is good, but it needs to be secured in some way, so malware, spyware, scam apps, etc. doesn’t get on the phone as easily

I remember a few years ago during the iOS 6-11 era, there was a shit ton of alt stores where you could get tweaked apps etc. these stores have been revoked by Apple and no longer work since iOS 13 I believe.
