I have a shift in perspective for patience that’s helping me! I remind myself that Joy is on the other side of Patience. It’s not actually the person, place, thing I’m impatient to have, I’m after the good *feelings* I’ll feel when I have whatever it is. BUT I know I can create good feelings anytime I want, including the Joy I’m impatient for. If I make the Joy now, no need to be so impatient for it and the things that will come along with it later. Idk if that makes sense, but it takes the pressure off and helps me accept the waiting part a bit easier. ❤

Some advice on being impatient. Like you, I am a recovering impatient person. Take the time to enjoy the moments. Watch yourself during the impatient moment, slow your mind. When it comes to patience, I am reminded of a video where parents set up their kids. They sat them down in the kitchen, with a transparent cup full of M&M's in front of them. The kids get told not to eat anything and the parent has to leave the room for a minute. Or two, or three. Now, perhaps some of those sorts of experiments or games can be used to cultivate patience.
