Mozart Horn Concertos

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Four Horn Concertos are a major part of most professional horn players' repertoire. They were written for Joseph Leutgeb, Mozart's lifelong friend. The concertos (particularly the fourth) were created to allow the soloist to demonstrate a wide range of abilities on the valve less horns of Mozart's day.
The Horn Concertos include a graceful and amusing dialogue between the soloist and the orchestra. Many autographs include jokes directed towards the dedicatee.
