You can also fold the end of the tape over on itself, which creates a tab.
Good tips, and you have pretty and graceful hands.

Love the hack on using clear tape to remove lint! Handy and practical tip! I had forgotten the aluminum foil hack until watching this.I am cutting foil with a pair of dull scissors right now.😘

Советы отличные. Катушки с нитками я раскладываю по цветам, так легче и быстрей найти нужный оттенок.

These were all great ideas. As far as the thread and the tape and the thread being sticky you just cut that and off and then it's not sticky anymore better to lose a little thread then to spend time trying desperately to thread the needle which only frustrates you. I also liked the tape and how you mark it so you can find the end again the pink clip. I truly enjoyed this video it was very helpful thank you for posting

The paper clip under the tape edge and the scotch tape around the presser foot are great ideas!!

Loved the tip for matching the stripes! And the one where you use the old small end of thread to pull the next thread through the needle-- very good!

Having not so great eyesight now I use a small crochet hook rather than thread a needle with the overlocker threads. Push the hook along the channel (starting about 30mm from the finished stitching) towards the end & pick up the thread chain. Pull back up the channel & snip off any excess. Same process but no small needle eye to deal with.

A well designed great video...BUT resist the urge to tape the ends of thread on the spool! Time and/or heat leaves icky stickies. Shoving a sharp needle through the threads of a spool is SO tempting, but just wait until nicked thread snags under stress in a garment or under the tension of the sewing machine

Would recommend sharpening the entire blades of the scissors, not just the first 1/3 or 2/3... thanks for the rest of the tips.
I use the small square tab, often found on bread/buns bags for the tab @ the end of the clear masking/packaging tape, instead of an "expensive plastic coated paper clip. The bag clips are "free", too.
The tape around the "pressure foot" can be eliminated if you could find a "teflon" foot for your machine; often in sewing accessories area of big box stores or just ask @ a quilting store.
I would not recommend placing the sharp end of a threaded needle through the thread still on the wound spool as it can spilt the thread. Instead, insert the blunt end of the needle (where the eye is) first.
I always have a knotted piece of thread on needles I place in my pin cushions.
I bought an extra large pin cushion with a strawberry attached (for sharpening needle & pin points), drew lined down from top center to the bottom center. I used these newly divided sections for different sewing machine needles. Labeled each area with an extra fine Sharpie marker. This saved time when having to switch to a different type of a needle, or when changing a broken needle. I use a large (retired) medication plastic bottle with a childproof cap in place, to store my broken/bent/dull pins & needles. When it is full, I just tape the cap closed with duct tape, write "SHARPS" on the tape & place it in the garbage bag.
