If we're talking about downhill racing, the title is quite misleading, as Craig Wheeler ran a 3:24 downhill mile in the 1993 Meltham Mile.

Excellent video TRP. You left out that this was run in Auckland, New Zealand. The disapointing aspect was that New Zealand's World Mile record holder, John Walker or even Rod Dixon, were unable to race. Who knows what they could have run. Cheers.

What you failed to mention is the LOCATION of this event. It is Auckland, New Zealand and I know it well. They are running down the main street of the city, known as Queen Street. Oh and Molenberg (a bread manufacturer) was the sponsor, not the location. Just saying.
