APPLY TO THE EU SETTLEMENT SCHEME (SETTLED AND PRE-SETTLED STATUS)

The UK Home Office on 10 September 2021 issued a Statement of Changes to the Immigration Rules (HC 617). In that, the main modifications with regard to the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) apply to those who desire to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme at the same time as living in the UK as a visitor.

Precisely, from 6 October 2021, joining family members are able to apply for status under the EUSS at the same time as living in the UK as a visitor.

This is a major modification. The former situation was that it was usually not possible for those living in the UK as a visitor to apply for status under the EUSS. As an alternative, they would have had to depart from the UK and apply for status under the EUSS from outside the UK.

Please keep in mind that, the following family members (EEA citizens or non-EEA citizens) of sponsors (for example EEA citizens who possess status under the EUSS) may be entitled to apply for status under the EUSS as the joining family members of an EEA national, subject to meeting the related obligations.

We have applied for eu family permit visa on 10th may 2021 and biometric on 18th may 2021. On 20th july we received mail that our application had sent to entry clearance office. After that we are waiting for answer
