Lesson on ECG the Basics: Interpreting ECGs made easy. Reading and understanding ECGs is an incredibly important skill in medicine. Before we can understand some of the complexities of ECG reading, it is important to understand the basics of the ECG. For instance, it is important to understand how ECG paper works. It’s also important to understand the PQRST, and what each of the elements of the PQRST means. We also discuss tips and tricks on how to determine heart rate, rhythm, axis and intervals from an ECG strip.

@JJMedicine Thanks for covering this specially the Axis and what part of heart it goes to at 8:26 Great Educational Video It some ECG report it is listed like so P(50), R(42), T(34) Is this same as Lead I, LeadII that you covered and Lead III

Re: QRS interval, if each little box is 0.04 of a second, then why the odd number of .07?

what about QRS axis of 80deg or T-wave axis of 69 deg? Aren't there 6-7 leads/why do they have such different QRS values?
