Ukraine didn’t see it coming. On November 21, 2024, Russia unleashed a hypersonic, nuclear-capable missile – the Oreshnik – on Dnipro, marking a dangerous escalation in the Ukraine war. This strike wasn’t just a blow to Ukraine but a chilling message to the U.S. and U.K.: "We can hit your military facilities too." What does this new threat mean for global security? Watch as we break down this pivotal moment in the conflict.

Don`t spread misinformation, Ukraine is not using long range missiles, those are still considered short range missiles, they are just longer than the ones used before.

The missiles Ukraine used are not "long Range", They can only be used at under 300 miles.

Sorry, the premise is nonsense. Russia doesn't have many options, but it does have options. Putin does not want to take on the US and NATO. It would end badly for him and he knows it.

Putin is not that stupid. His army is spent, he's not about to pick a fight with all of NATO.

Putin has no problem with using Iranian drones and North Korean troops but gets angry at Ukraine using western weapons?
🤣

I am pretty sure that the non-public channels of communication from the USA to Russia has informed them that any ICBM launched at the USA will be considered nuclear in flight. That is not a bluff you want to call. Before your single missile lands you have a response of 100 minuteman 2's headed your way.

They've struggled to hold their own against Ukraine for three years. They're relying on 1950s era weapons and tanks and North Korean troops and equipment. The US and NATO would kick their asses in a conventional war.

It would be suicide for Putin to launch anything at any NATO target. Hell, he's the second best army in Ukraine. NATO would destroy him.

Inless Putin is suicidal and does not care about his family surviving, this is a bluff. Any nuclear weapons, tactical or otherwise, would bring a devastating response.

Bro realizes we can use rapid dragon system. Which are (c-17) 9 jassm-er from one pallet max 5 pallets per. So that is one plane with 49 nuclear capable cruise missiles. You put 10 planes thats every major city and key military sites. People need to realized how over powered our tech really is.

Putin has notoriously ignored peace treaties. Why would you negotiate with him. The Budapest Memorandum is ironic here. Under the agreement, the signatories (Russia, Britain, USA) offered Ukraine "security assurances" in exchange for its adherence to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons and for Ukraine to surrender the Soviet era Nukes on their soil).

It's an interesting threat to make toward 2 countries that have nuclear submarines that you cant detect, that are armed with nuclear missiles that you haven't show the ability to stop.
