Putin says Russia is ready for a missile 'duel' with the US

During his annual end-of-year press conference, the Russian president said his Oreshnik ballistic missile could defeat any US missile defence system.

Russia first fired an Oreshnik at the Ukrainian city of Dnipro on 21 November after Ukraine's first use of US Atacms ballistic missiles and British Storm Shadows on Russian territory
