Hello, I am the author of this story and would like to publicly thank DS and Rom for their excellent narration! As you can probably tell, I'm not a professional writer lol. Primarily, I'm a fan of the channel and so regard it as a great honour to be able to contribute to the content. As a few commenters have noted, this tale can either be seen as ghost story or a metaphor for the MC's depression. Emilie is the daughter of Marguerite and her lover trapped in an eternal timeloop. Or alternatively, she represents the MC's struggles against his inner demons. That said, I do appreciate constructive feedback on my stories which will help me improve my future work. A part of me was expecting, or rather hoping that after receiving the third message he would tie a string to the bottle and sail in the direction it drifts as his father had taught him how to sail but that would have been too sweet an ending i suppose

Mr Somnium, i know you got a lot going on and it really means that much more you come back to to entertain us. I just washed to take a minute to tell you yet again how much what you do means to me and so many others. To some, yeah you just read stories. To many of of us though, even more so these days, life seems to do all it can to test our ability to deal with things and keep moving. Which brings me back to my point. We all are actively looking for things to ease our minds to some extent or another. I wanted to highlight what you do for me and tell you i appreciate it. At the core you do read stories, but it's more than that. The stories you ready and more so how you read them. Now done might take this comment as a slight to others but it's not. There's lots and lots of great narrators, there's good ones and he'll there's a few not so good ones. I've been engrossed in creepypastas for little over a decade and to preface my comment, I'm nobody. But I'm those 10 years, I've only come across 3 narrators that are next level. Again not saying others aren't great because they are, but you Mr Somnium, lighthouse horror and Mr Davis have this unique ability in my eyes. I can sit back at night, close my eyes and when you 3 narrate, i don't just hear a story. Many occasions you actually take me inside the story somehow. Most nights when i finish listening to you 3 i can't just turn it off and go about my evening. It usually takes me a few minutes or so to reel it back in. It's actually quite amazing in my opinion. It's like the inflection I'm the words that mostly makes me feel like for a loss of a better way to describe it, like I'm almost replaying the events as if they had happened to me. Hell the story the other night for instance, took me a couple times to finish cause it was stuck an intense story and the way you read it was almost surreal in i felt like it was me in the story. I'm sorry I'm taking so much space typing this. Really appreciate you and what you give us.

Gotta say, i love stories that have ties to real history. The whole Isle of Demons connection is cool as hell. Since it kind of is a real mystery. Adds a level of realism to ground the story.

First time Emily managed to reply back after he wrote the letter was the time to go looking for her. Write another letter throw it on the see and follow it on a boat.

Although I do realise this is potentially dangerous if demons turn out to be real.

I’ve wanted to write all the fictional letters that the narrator could have written to Emilie. I wanted to do something creative as a fan because I was intrigued by this story. Instead of asking you what he wrote, I did it myself. I do have an additional letter which wasn’t confirmed that he wrote when he was either 30-32 years old in 2011. However, the dialogue by Emilie of “all your letters” gave the impression of three or more. Also I wanted to create a character true that was Irish so I made a fictional Irish name and guessed where he lived. WARNING: This is long and it might be cheesy but i tried to stay true to the character as close as the narration.


1st Letter – Age 11 (1991):
“Hello Emilie, my name is Killian McCarthy. I am 11 years old and live in Ireland. My dog Skipper and I found your letter on Keel Beach and I live with my mom and dad not too far away in Saula West. It’s a small town and I have a lot of friends at school. My big dream is playing football for Dublin as a Striker Forward or a Left Wing back and I love my home. I go to school which I don’t like but there’s a lot of fairs and festivals during the summer that we go to. We head out to the bigger cities, which take a while to in a car and spend a week there.
Your life is full of adventure, dangerous and fun at the same time! I am scared and excited about these demons and beasts you face since it’s only what I see in TV and games. Your family and friends must be great fighters and hunters to be living alone in this bad place. You must be very strong too, Emily and don’t worry, I am not telling my parents or anyone else about your secret. They won’t believe me anyway, so your secret is safe with me. I want to hear more about you and hope you win your battle against these monsters.

Emilie,

I am very confused and shocked that I found your letter in a bottle again and I can’t explain how it’s been nearly 10 years in my time. However, I’m sorry to hear that your parents are sick, and I am horrified that you are the only one fighting alone to defend yourself against these monsters. I can only pray for that you continue to have the strength and courage to stand and fight every single night for your parents. The thought of you enduring this alone pains me, and I feel both angry and sad that I can’t help. I know that you are real because I believe in you. You are the strongest person that I met even though I haven’t even seen you, or know who you are, or understand where you come from. In fact, I had some sleepless nights myself thinking about the trials that you face. I wish I was there to help in anyway because you don’t deserve this. Please, stay strong.

Emilie,

I cried and fell to my knees about reading what happened, passing of your parents, and the burial. The pain of that hit me more than anything else I ever felt in my life. I’m very grateful no one saw me on the sands of Newfoundland while I was reading as I tried to imagine what that exactly feels like in my mind. Hopefully you have the time to read my letter. There is little that I understand of your world and the constant battles you have in the face of certain death. I never have come close to your struggles, and I never want to. just want you to understand that you’re the strongest and bravest person I know.

you could always give the ending a positive twist, his whole life he was sad that he didnt live in a time were he could discover new things or do anything truly epic, but that ending sounds like the beggining of an epic story, so at least he got to live something truly legendary

I’ve listened to a ton of your videos recently, especially in the past week or so, but this one in particular hit me harder than I expected it to, particular towards the end. As the music kicks in and the MC talks about his fate it just made me sit still with chills and listen carefully. You’ve quickly become my favorite channel for these sorts of stories, between your narration skills and the sounds you incorporate into it, it’s just amazing
