Hello and Happy Fall my Friends, welcome to my Southern Kitchen!

Today on the tenth episode of my Fall Baking Series, I am making the ultimate sweet Quick Bread of the Fall Season, Apple Cinnamon Bread! Moist, tender, and full of fresh apples and layers of Cinnamon Sugar; this Bread is bursting with Apple flavor and will also be perfect gifts to give to your loved ones for the Holidays coming up! Everyone will love this!

Cinnamon Sugar

1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Bread

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup white sugar
1/2 cup regular or unsweetened applesauce
2 extra-large eggs, room temperature
1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup apple juice, room temperature
1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 large Granny Smith, Golden Delicious, Honey Crisp, or Gala apple, rinsed, peeled, cored and diced

Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees

Spray a 8x4x2 inch loaf pan with PAM Baking or Baker’s Joy baking spray with flour (or grease with butter and dusting of flour) and set aside.

For the Cinnamon Sugar: In a medium bowl, add in the brown sugar, and cinnamon and mix until well blended.

Add in the lemon juice into the diced apples and stir until well blended and set aside. In a medium bowl, add in the flour, baking powder and salt; sift or whisk together until well incorporated. In a large bowl, add in the applesauce, white sugar, eggs, vanilla extract and apple juice; whisk together until well blended. Add the dry ingredients slowly into the wet mix and continue mixing until well incorporated (be careful not to over mix). Pour and spread half of the the batter into the prepared loaf pan then half of the diced apples, then sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar and repeat the process. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes or until golden brown and toothpick in the center comes out clean (check at 35 to 40 minutes, ovens are vary). Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 to 15 minutes then remove from the pan and let the bread cool completely on wire rack. Place the apple cinnamon bread onto a cake stand or plate, cut into desired slices, serve and enjoy!
