PC-Woody is a two part epoxy paste that is excellent for filling cavities in wood. It can be used on Interior or exterior wood.
The PC stands for Protective Coating. It was founded in 1954 by John Long and is a family run company located in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

First, remove any loose paint, wood fibers and debris with a scraper or stiff brush.

PC Petrifier is formulated to fully penetrate and revitalize rotted wood. Give it 24 hours to dry, before you add the epoxy.

When mixing the epoxy, it is a 1 to 1 mix ratio. There is no offensive odor like most putty’s. It has a peanut butter consistency and when it drys the color is a light tan. Make sure to clean up any mixed epoxy from your tools before it cures with paper towels or a rag and rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol).

This is the step that I love about this product, use the rubbing alcohol to smooth out the epoxy to eliminate having to sand.

PC Woody mixes and spreads easier at higher temperatures, like peanut butter. I recommend using this product in the summer. When working in the winter when it’s cold, place the epoxy containers near heat prior to using, to soften it. When working on larger holes, use screen wire or wood blocks to fill in.

It must be thoroughly cured and sanded before staining. Sand with the wood grain and use medium or course sandpaper.

Cured epoxy can be worked on like real wood. The epoxy paste contains real wood and will accept solid stain. Using a darker opaque stain would work better than a transparent stain.

If you don’t like it, cured PC-Woody can be removed with paint stripper.

Cured epoxy can be worked and tooled like real wood.
