I think that foam suppose to be on the other side of the bricks. What happens when something accidently bumbs into it.

Apart from the fact that such a thin layer will do nothing, and the pins are poorly placed, when styrofoam is not sanded, when sun goes up you will see beautiful chessboard.

I think if I wanted a really effective increase in insulation, I might consider just doubling the thickness of the wall which would allow double the insulation or add the foam board on the inside. I'll bet texas-sized how you would ruin that stuff on the outside.

Would be easier to remove the sheet Rock and spray foam insulation to all exterior walls

..maybe the owner wanted to add colour to the house... But the bricks was better looking and more solid. And the bricks never needs to be painted. Also that job doesn't look like it will last. Don't know much about those boards but I know building with brick and cement lasts, the good old way.

Gimme a f**king break! What's the R-rating on 2 inch Styrofoam? R10? Not enough.
I have been on jobs that used this and it's no good. And, a half-inch of cement lath is not strong.
