I never understood why apple decided to remove touch id in the first place. It should've been around alongside the face id so people get to choose which form of screen locking they prefer. They should've had it on the apple logo on the back, on the power button or under the display. Literally any of those options are better than not having touch id at all

TouchID is a great feature. But I think we're long overdue (as usual) to get TouchID built into the power button like the iPad.
Besides that, Apple needs to have USB-C and Mini LED on the iPhone (like the iPad again); at least on the Pro and Pro Max models.

I’m actually watching this vid ON a 6S- and because it does everything I need, I keep holding out on upgrading- with the new SE, with functionality & lower cost, I’m all about that upgrade now. Great vid!

I still have an iPhone 8+, primarily because it offers Touch ID and not Face ID. I had been considering upgrading to the new iPhone SE 3, but the screen size is so small and I am elderly and need the larger screen to better read my mail and newspapers on the phone. So I will continue to use my iPhone 8+ and continue to hope that a Touch ID iPhone with a large screen will be offered in the near future. I don't know why Apple can't accommodate me on this.

My whole family is with Apple and I am with Samsung. I love touch ID and one of main reasons why I stick with Android. My 73 year old mother got an iPhone a year ago and I encouraged her if she was going Iphone she needs to go with iphone 8 for the touch ID or just a button to close an app but she went with iphone 11 and I see her struggle trying to close an app or even open her phone all the time.

Here’s a non-apple reason for why fingerprint scanners are not dead. The Pixel 4 used facial recognition scanners and it was legitimately a great way of unlocking. However, the teams at Google CONSCIOUSLY decided to bring back the fingerprint scanner and (correct me if I’m wrong) ditch the facial recognition. So there is still enough of a market for fingerprint scanners that it is worth switching back

Great video! I do miss touch ID. I traded my last phones in to T-Mobile to get (almost) free iPhone 12's. Face ID is just a real pain in the butt. Touch ID with the home button is so much user-friendly.

It’s really good to see that the new iPhone SE still Retains touch ID in the home button

I just switched over to iPhone after years on Pixels. I got this new SE actually. On paper it's a pretty big downgrade from a Pixel 6 but it was the only iPhone that has Touch ID. I prefer the fingerprint for payments and checking the phone while sitting at my desk. I get why Face ID is secure and convenient but it's also like a false choice at this point: Apple's devices should have both. The technology is there and they should use it. Apologists will point to Apple's alleged perfectionism but that's highly subjective. iOS is far from perfect, like the notification handling on iOS is hot trash. But if that's all you know, you won't know the difference. I switched to iPhone purely to have more integration with my new Macbook Pro and so far that's been great.

Great enthusiasm! I would love if Apple brought back Touch ID to the iPhone power button. That would get me to upgrade right away. The iPhone SE is nice but I want a more modern phone

Best is a combo of both, TouchID and FaceID

i would definitely want an iPhone 13-esque design but with a Touch ID and a significantly smaller notch.

Face ID is so frustrating especially when you’re lying down and trying to look at your phone it doesn’t unlock that’s a good thing about touch ID when you’re lying in bed it works unlock Face ID 😊

Apple late to the party again. Touch ID under the screen is older tech.

I hope Apple will have Touch ID and Face ID become one into the next generation Iphone in the future!

I prefer Touch ID because I use my phone to authorize logins all the time. I tried Face ID and it was asking me 10x an hour to pick it up and stare at it to authorize logins. I miss just leaving it on the desk, not even looking at it, and tapping it with my thumb. Sometimes when I'm driving I ask Siri to do something like close Google Maps (because I'm done with the navigation), and she says "you need to unlock your iPhone first" which would mean picking up the thing and staring at it while driving... which of course I don't do, and I'm stuck listening to her direct me for the next 30min how to get to my own house. I used to be able to stop at a red light and give it a quick tap in the holder.

Honestly speaking I still love biometric touch button on iphone. New se is best for me even 2020. I'm happy they didnt change it. Old is gold always 🤠

I like touch ID built-in to the home button on iPad 9th Gen because Face ID sometimes can be unreliable especially on the iPad Pro

I want Touch ID so badly. The only reason I got a 13 is because I really wanted an OLED display, but if a new flagship iPhone comes up with fingerprint, I’m upgrading immediately. I hate Face ID
