worked next to the shop in Wilmington Ca 1988. would see this about 2am once in awhile on their short test drives, usually Sunday's or Monday's. Incredible sound too!

That Vector is awesome. I remember seeing this car in magazines when it was "released", and thinking "what an ugly car." But now, you see it in video, with the lights on, and it looks quite beautiful in comparison to all of today's ugly cars.

„Der Vector W8 gilt in der Branche als eines der mutigsten Luxusprojekte und gleichermaßen als einer der größten Flops in der US-Autogeschichte.“

I know other people would argue with me but that car is so beautiful it looks modern even by today's standards. It looks as if it could have been built last year by a supercar company. Yes it has a classic wedge shape from the '80s and '90s but it's design is another one of those timeless designs that can cause a commotion even 30 years after the car was made much like the Lamborghini countach. Even though the cars are now classic cars they can still stop people dead in their tracks and cause them to break out their phones and start taking pictures. They are still crowd pleasers

what is really sad is that while this was in my room on poster, nowadays kids doesent even know this beauty.

Sad fact about Vector from Poland: There was one in Poznań, and in late 90's has been rebuild to look like a F40. Haven't seen it for a long time now, but it was the single craziest replica in the world. W8/F40 in black

Drove the yellow Vector from Upland Ca to Pomona Ca in 1999. I was working for a guy who had some financial and technical interest in the company at that time, I remember there was a Daytona Beach connection, I drove the car to a storage facility where there was a purple Vector and a blue one with front end damage and a red Vector that I was told was an early model. There was also a couple of TVR s and Marcos cars in the same warehouse. The yellow one had Ford switchgear and instruments and a manual gearbox . I believe it also had a Ford V8 in the back, at that time but plans were for something more exotic in future. I had the keys to the warehouse( but not the car!)for a couple months and visited a few times . Was told not to take photos as the cars location was not common knowledge for whatever reason. I was actually fired from that job in 2000 for an unrelated reason and was asked to return those keys !
I often wonder what happened to those cars 🤷🏻‍♂️
Ah well, good times

One of the coolest cars ever made! I had a 6ft poster of this car in my bedroom as a kid.

This looks like how people would imagine a future car back in the 60s

Im so glad that HW made them, had like 3 of them here
660hp, 230mph, twin turbo
The only supercar that can dance with a Mclaren F1 prototype

Потрясающая машина. Если правильно помню, их было сделано 6-8 экземпляров. Наддувной V8 мощнее, чем двигатели итальянских суперкаров того времени. И еще тут американский автомат. Не вероятно)

A red Vector W8 was in the movie Rising sun from 1993. I love that movie for quite many reasons and this car was indeed one of them.
