Kudos to Lady Gaga for tackling one of the most technically difficult, yet dazzlingly beautiful, of the jazz standards! She demonstrates the range of her unique talent here with a song that most contemporary pop singers would never even attempt to sing, let alone deliver with such ease. Her respect and appreciation for the standards is a towering credit to her. I do think she's overpowering in places (this song is supposed to be delicate and wistful in sensibility), but she's still young and I can imagine in a decade or so she'll be able to perform material like this with much more of the depth and discernment that comes with age.
