After 12 years of daily Narc Abuse, I literally didn't recognize my own face. I looked so old and tired. I didn't know who I was looking at in the mirror. I was expressionless, barely there.
After 6 months of "freedom" I'm starting to see myself again. I recognized my old smile, my dimples came back.
If I didn't experience it for myself I wouldn't believe it is possible.

Abuse is abuse. They should be jailed same as for domestic abuse and violence.

Thank you it’s true. We are stuck with “resting trauma face” from exposure to someone hating on us all the time.

They're two faced playing either superior bully or innocent victim. We spend our lifetime trying to figure out their two roles

After I got the narcissists out of my life, people think I’m 10 years younger than my age.
Therapy. Massage. Vigorous exercise. Deep rest is essential.
Water Water Water.
Thank you for the facial expression exercises. Your gentle encouragement is much appreciated.

… as a German Biologist –
this is the permanent constant intense STRESS –
that increases the HPA Axis activity and makes you Cortisol receptor resistant –
like Insuline resistance.
The high Cortisol level blocks the Frontal Cortex
and you have minimal mental Band Width.
You are never present here and now –
always in a defence mode expecting Attack!
It takes intense Endurance and Inner strength training
to de condition from this PTSD like condition.
Hard work and PATIENCE
And install the Firewall to block any intruder.
May take Years to get there.
There must be new Laws to criminalize the persons doing this on purpose –
like any assault…

True…I dated a narc for 1.5 years and I swear he aged me 5-10 years with all the stress, mind games, confusion, and arguing. I gained weight, had dark circles under my eyes, and just looked plain tired. I’m still recovering 2 years later….never again!

Reclaim: I look younger by the minute. No narc had the power over the love Universe holds 4 me❤! Amen!

My eyes look so sad, and I don't recognize myself. You are really spot on about narcissists.

17 months free and I managed to gain weight and I'm glowing... My face looks plump, healthy and beautiful.

Yes! The overall physical changes were horrible!!! My facial features had changed. I was bloated from head to toe. I walked differently.
Now after about 8 months in seeing myself come back. The bloating has gone down. I've lost over 20lbs. The wrinkles on my face even look better. It's amazing how our bodies respond to the stress! I see people now that I haven't seen for awhile and they don't recognize me.

The light in my eyes went out. Lifeless. I looked tired and strained. Despairing.

I’d been married 20 years to a narc, not knowing the concept then, and went away for 2 months. My eyes changed before my eyes. The stress marks all around my eyes softened. It was hell coming home to him, and in a few months our marriage folded.

Thank you, Danish. You have NO IDEA how much you help victims of narcissistic abuse!

Yes, I was also shocked when I saw a picture of me. My face looks wrinkled, like in pain, everything sagging around the mouth and my eyes look like in pain. I haven't left yet, but live in my own room and have barely contact. My face looks a bit better, but still, I was aging 10 years in a matter of three.

My narcissist partner actually pointed it out to me himself. He said, 'you don't look like the happy, energetic person that I had met two years back!'

I often have the sensation that my cheeks are being dragged downward by sadness. It’s a very strong sensation. Even my son commented that I look so miserable.

When I was a teen, my narc parents asked me why I had a continuous scowl on my face. Others would ask why I looked so angry, and this greatly surprised me. Once I saw a photo for proof, I decided to make a conscious effort to have at least an upturned mouth most of the time. This however did not stop me from grinding my back teeth. Little do we know how much we hurt ourselves while in a narc abusive environment or relationship. 😮😊

65 years of abuse, I look 90. I look at my childhood pictures and I mourn for the child who knew no joy, only fear. then 2 abusive marriages following that. been free for 10 years, but the damage was done. My face is distorted and I've broken so many teeth from grinding.

Everytime I look at Danish’s content I understand things better. I experienced so many of the issues that he speaks about. I remember after ending my marriage I struggled to recognize the woman in the bathroom mirror. Because of the level of abuse emotionally, I felt it was vanity . I now understand that I am not crazy. This is a real thing. Thanks to Danish for bringing awareness to these issues. I am forever grateful and continue to heal everyday. So many years of dealing with narcissistic abuse from childhood to adulthood, I no longer stick around people, once the mask is off. I look for red flags and protect myself from anyone that is a threat to my peace of mind. I now understand that it is not my fault, the narcissist is the problem.
