Thank you Theoria!  I'm 53 and bought a D7100 last year...this was my first digital camera.  It had been my dream to own a Nikon since I was a teenager in the 70's.  I had been using a Pentax K1000 film camera that I bought when I got divorced back in 1999.  I had not thought to check for firmware updates until I saw this video you had posted...it made the whole process VERY SIMPLE.   When I first started watching photo videos on Youtube I came across the Fro and all of the rest I found you, Thank God!!!!  An honest man at last!!!  Your videos are fantastically helpful to this old divorced dad.  Please don't ever stop Theoria!  Thanks again my

Okay, so my D7000 has 3 updates (1 firmware and 2 distortion control).  I should install the firmware first, then do each of the distortion controls in the order they were published?  PS - I learn so much from your videos.  Keep them coming!!

So ken, more interesting that this is what actual benefit this upgrade brings... Direct Wifi? For me I still need to use Snapbridge on my 850... a cool video would be to demonstrate how you can direct feed your images from D850 to Shuttersnitch on Iphone or Press IPTC on android...

I just found this video.. THANK YOU!!! I see there is a new D7100 camera firmware update as of Sept 2015 and the lens update as of May 2015.

My Nikon d3000 have prob like this "This battery cannot be used. Choose designed for use this battery". This problem must update firmware ? Or my battery?

ive been looking online and havet found any answers. but have you heard of any of the d7200 1.01 firmware update cause compatibility issues with sigma lenses?

I had to remove the battery pack from my D500 to get it to update. Beyond that, all was smooth sailing.

Hey Angry, love your vids. I did EXACTLY as you taught in this video. I even have an Apple, so it was all very easy for me to download, open and move the downloaded file (D7000 Upgrade) to my SD card. However, once I put the card back into my camera and went to "Firmware, " I never saw the "Upgrade" option. It still shows my old firmware with no option to upgrade. I re-watched your video, re-downloaded the upgrade from NikonUSA and re-copied it to my SD card. It's NOT in the DCIM file. It's at the top of DCIM on the SD card. Still nothing. I've repeated this entire process five times. Nada! I'd rather not take my D7000 to my local photo store and have them charge me to do something that should be simple. Can you advise, please? Thank you, brother.

If camera can’t sniff bin file then goto custom settings bank and reset. Goto firmware version this time you’ll see camera has found bin and asks if you want to update.

It is funy Ken, now I know why snap bridge is POS when I see how firmware update works....Hello Nikon is anybody out there it is year 2017, and there is a software around called camera updater app.If you don't know how to make one look to e.g Olympus or Panasonic and copy paste one.

make sure battery is fully chage, if not camera can shut off as battery is deleted...

After you update, is it ok to reformat card and clear everything out?

I recently purchased used D700 with 11k on the shutter and the firmware has never been updated. The version in the camera is v 1.2 The most recent version that I could find is 1.4 My question is: Can I install the v 1.4 directly or must I install v1.3 first then install v 1.4 Thanks.
