Coronavirus: Why the number of UK COVID-19 deaths is much higher than the figures suggest

He shows a graph showing 1970 - 1999 weekly deaths and then immediately shows statistics for 2000 .

Does the deaths in Scotland and Ireland not count for these charts? Thought we were part of the UK but we seem to be excluded in any data!

Some countries are dodging their stats by not including patients who died indirectly from complications of COVID 19 while the UK and America do include everyone and even care home residents.

Office for National Statistics figures showed that the week ending 10 April was the deadliest in England and Wales since 2000, with a third of the total 18, 516 deaths registered being linked to coronavirus. Why only 2000 if this virus is so extremely bad?
