Have you ever wonder what exactly is Authoritarianism? Hey, it’s Dan Zimmerman, welcome back to Illustrate to Educate. In this video we’ll take a simple and informative look at the characteristics of Authoritarianism, examples of Authoritarianism, as well as the pros and cons of Authoritarianism.

Authoritarianism is a form of government characterized by a high concentration of power in the hands of a single authority or a small group of individuals, often without meaningful checks and balances, limited political pluralism, and restricted civil liberties. It stands in contrast to democratic systems, which emphasize principles such as popular sovereignty, rule of law, and protection of individual rights. Authoritarian regimes can vary in their severity, from soft or semi-authoritarian systems that allow some political opposition and limited freedoms to hard or full-blown authoritarian systems with virtually no political opposition or civil liberties.

I like the Video, Dan. However, ....when you mentioned the "Cons" of Authoritarian Governments, you forgot to mention that Authoritarian Government Regimes also have higher rates of Incarceration of their Citizens.

I was taught in school that a dictator and a communist government are almost the same thing, Only difference is, a dictatorship government is when one person has all the power, while a communist government is when one political party has all the power.

Government have the right to control media, because Saudi Arabia is not capitalist country.
