It's crazy to me that I've been in school my entire life, and now I'm just being thrown into the real world. I don't wanna sound like a bitch, but it's just crazy to me how nobody prepares you for anything. I just graduated and probably remember only 3% of the things that I learned in high school maybe even less. Just feel a little lost that's all

High school was awful. So toxic and so much bullying+mean people who can get away with childish things.

For the new high school grads. First off, congratulations. Second off, be prepared because you are about to find out how easy life was then, regardless of where you go in life. That being said, look forward to the adventure, because it does get better. I've been out of high school for 5 years now, and I still have not TOUCHED college. And that's okay, cuz I had NO idea what I wanted to do with my life. Don't be afraid to take time for yourself, and to find a career you'll know you'll be happy in. And trust me, chase the dream, not the money (unless money is your dream of course lol). Go at your own pace, while you can.

I'm only a sophomore in high school but growing up and becoming an adult scares me

I know I’m late but woke up feeling sad cause I had a dream of my graduation again but in a different way. It’s sad leaving people that weren’t even close to you but you got so used to seeing them everyday.

This is my last year of high school, and I really feel like I haven’t had “the high school experience” that almost everyone else had. So I’m honestly terrified of what that might mean for the people or things that I might meet or do in the future

After high school depression really hits hard when you realize how much you could of been involved and made memories with certain people, I knew after graduation depression was a thing but I don’t know how to make new friends besides when I work at a new spot which I do every like 5 weeks cause I want that feeling of meeting new people instead of the same ones I don’t like or get bored of smh

Class of 2020 genuinely petrified of real life, working, college full time, and being completely independent. It sounds like stress and gray hairs

We're all told as children, that without college we have no real future, and then we are tricked into getting student loans and causing 20+ years of financial stress for a piece of paper. Average college degree will cost you over $12 per hour. Luckily I dodged this bullet and bought a house instead.

I feel that high school was the place to make friends once you go to college is way harder due to all the stress you have from school. As for after both It depends on how social you are and how willing people you meet accept you in their circle. Keep those vids coming Jade ✊🏽

As someone who graduated over a decade ago, I can say that the vast majority of friends that you have in high school will disappear (if not all) unless you both put in the effort to catch up every now and then.

I’m sure there may be a couple of people who may maintain friendships but people move to different colleges and locations, people change, make new friends, find a job or even find someone to be in a relationship with (and maybe even marry and possibly have children).

So even the people that you try to keep in your life will get busier and busier as the years go by.

So as much as you may feel that it would suck for you to leave high school in the past, I would suggest embracing the shift and change as well as embrace meeting new people and being exposed to new situations and experiences. Think of it as new adventures beyond high school with new (and better) opportunities.

And a few comments have touched on this but it’s ok if you don’t know exactly what you want to do for a career. You have years to figure this out. By working for a business, company or organisation; you’ll eventually get a feel for where your passions lie and then you can study in that field and develop qualifications and knowledge.

Also the real world has greater responsibility but there is also greater freedom to an extent. You drive your own direction!

i feel sympathy for all the people who spent all of their time and effort into maintaining their reputation and putting their energy into being popular in high school, and then leaving and all of that becoming irrelevant.

The cold truth is high school is temporary and even the so called "popular kids" eventually have to move on.

I'm barely on my 1st semester of college and yeah I've lost connection with all my friends in high school and people in college just go to class get their work done and go home so yeah it's hard to make friends but hey I have been learning a lot about myself and we do get a lot of free time not counting studying haha high school was great while it lasted so if you are in it rn take advantage of it all I miss it but I also wouldn't go back ig this is just another phase we all have to go through to learn more about ourselves💕💕💕 (wish me luck on finals next week😂)

Many people think that the time spend in highschool is the most happy time in their lives. we graduate from school, walk away with friendship, and good memories in our hearts. And we go on with our lives. But graduation may not be the end like you think, It may be the beginning of something much much scarier.

2019, the hardest thing was leaving the boys, I missed hanging out with them and all the good memories we made. I remember there was some friends that went to school events but I didn’t and I really regret that. I thought it could’ve lasted forever but that’s not the real world, we all have to move on and that’s the saddest thing, well for me at least. Good luck, and enjoy the time you have, I’ll miss high school but I’ll never forget it.
