The Cali bar exam is the toughest of all 50 states. Just knowing this fact about him, I can say he is a well accomplished man!

Me at the beginning: That can either be his mom or his girlfriend…

Me at the first “hallelujah”: Definitely the mom.

She said, "Lord, you're faithful, " at the end. And He is.

This young mans father was Lashawn Daniels. He was a world renowned, greatly respected songwriter and producer of MANY of the songs you all know and love...old and new. He was a huge influence on me musically and continues to inspire me. Tragically he passed away just weeks after my own mother in 2019. When I saw his mother, which is Lashawns lovely wife praising God I just cried and praised God too... I know what it’s like to loose someone that was your life yet you still have to live in it without them. Lord help us all! My continued condolences to you all. To God be there Glory!

Note: Part of this story is missing. His step dad died, unexpectedly, in the late stage of this collegiate pursuit, and he made the choice not to quit because of grief...thus, leading to this MOMENT. (That is dad's pic on the wall).

The thing is, my dad took this bar exam when he was probably the same age as this guy. My dad is 71 now and still talks about how happy he was when he passed the bar in a time when minorities were expected to do poorly.

Congrats to this man, he’ll never forget this day 🥰
