This is a tutorial on LibreOffice covering, how to create a basic database. The tutor starts off by explaining the database objects. The tutor then creates a simple table and mentions the data types. The tutor creates a query to interrogate the data, using a date field to demonstrate. The tutor then creates a data input form and adds a new record. I've run businesses with relational databases. I was curious the other day but it wanted me to create a database just to look at it. Thanks for showing the parts but this is very basic. For instance I would expect the key field to auto increment and the date field to have form widgets. I'm curious about joins and if there is an SQL mode to make queries, and subforms and subreports. Looks like it probably is the real deal, which is cool. I'll dig in.

Thanks. How can I protect the design from end user and how does it look at the data entries? after we finish the design?
