I agree with u regarding the bass on the Xtreme 3, so i tried to download an equalizer app and crank up the bass by 40% and suddenly the Xtreme 3 bass comes to life and has a more fuller sound with noticeable bass even at max volume. I'm happy with it. 👍😉

Great test. I could hear the difference listening on my Bose 450. I have the JBL extreme 3, it sounds really good, but clearly the Boom Box 3 has the bass pump i like.

Since I have both I'm going to tell you go with the boombox the only reason for the xtreme 3 is for portability and the boombox is still portable. Much more loud and much more bass

Thank you for the test, but I thing I would have guessed that the bigger, pricier Boombox 3 could play louder than the smaller more portable Xtreme 3; no need to do a test here. And the music choices weren't eclectic enough. No classical, no jazz with brass, no chorus and only loud beat: music lovers, go your way!
Right now, I still do not know which one would be more suitable for me :'-(

Got the JBL Xtreme 3 new for 180 dollars so i am happy

I prefer the extreme 3 because at low volume I think the x3 is clearer and more pleasant. I ok only listen in a small room at max 70 percent. If listening moderate levels save your money and just get a Xtreme 3.
