I bought the boombox 3 little over 2 weeks ago and I love it, also I bring it to school every day to play music in the hallway and we’ll let’s just say people were very happy because at 100% volume it caused some havoc 😂

I got like 2 boombox 3's so i could create a stereo. I gotta say that the sound is absolute impeccably. The only reason why i bought them was because they were 50% off. 😅

I have the x3 and bb3
The bb3 is more of a home speaker because of its weight and I usually use the x3 for outdoor and something light

The BB3 bass is still perfect than two XTREME 3, but the problem with JBL Bluetooth speakers is that when you reach into 60%~70% increasing volume you hear only the treble increases but the bass doesn't increase anymore. Then it starts sounding bad

Good review comparison - not sure if you had the EQ enabled on the BB3 but when partyboosted on the two it disables the EQ and to me, a single speaker withEQ on trumps two without and I would even say one BB3 50% and lower with EQ would trump two party boosted with EQ disabled.

I just bouggt a boombox 3 the other day. Alteady had 2 of the xtreme 3. All 3 speakers together with the boombox as my center speaker is amazing!

I got 2x JBL Xtreme 3, I was waiting a video like this, I was thinking about getting a Boombox 3, but I see there's not a big difference between 2x X3 vs 1x B3.

With 2 x3s you can increase coverage by putting them on opposite sides of the room.

The two extremes sounded crisper and brighter more treble while the boombox sounded warmer and louder more balanced and slightly muffled but not in a bad way just muffled enough so sound doesn't get distorted at higher volumes id imagine.. id say if you want best balance ane portability boombox 3 if for indoor listening experience sounds like two xtreme 3's are legit either way can go wrong with the purchase i just heard the xtreme 2 by the pool yesterday and that thing sounded beautiful and bass was perfect my wife hates bass and even she was like damn that speaker sounds amazing i was like i know right and this was outdoors at my community pool and im assuming lady only had it up too about 40-50% volume.. i haven't heard the boombox 3 yet but what i will say is these youtube sound tests dont do either speaker full justice you probably gunna have too find a retailer that has jbl speakers in the store that you can test out for yourself because you might be pleasantly surprised by the extreme bass and sound quality.. these videos dont do these speakers justice is all i can say for certain..

Any way to get the MPN for all items to better compare. for example an MPN ending in GG has better bass, meanwhile TL will sound better overall.

Personal ill still go with the BB3. It's just a better package except for long walking trips than I'll take the Xtremes or my Boom plus

There's clearly a big difference between the speakers.
I own 1 extreme 3 and so when I tell you the BB3 sounds better overall. You Know I mean it.
I really struggle to understand how you can't hear it and say they sound the same.

Nevertheless, If you already own an extreme 3 like me, and don't need the real high volume for outdoors like the beach where there's a lot of background noise -
I'd suggest getting another extreme 3, it sounds great and I BET the ability to sound from 2 different angles will make a big difference, especiall indoors.

I wish NewStuff did a more profound sound test and let us hear the extremes from different angles so that we could hear the difference, as it is a major part of the whole comparison.

The xtreme 3 actually has a way longer battery life at high volumes then the boombox 3 both at 80% the xtreme has about 9 hours and the boombox only 7 hours
