I just bought this a week ago because of your vids. Thanks Bro. I’m happy. But like you said the highs can be irritating. My fix. I use my fire tablet with Amazon music 5 band EQ. Yup it rocks. I called JBL on this. There 3 band not cutting it. Need a 5 band EQ.

I have a boombox3, I'm very satisfied, I'm very satisfied after the update, it plays more and more balanced sound, the battery is on 70% of the sound time all day without any problems, and when version 4 appears, it will be with a replaceable battery, I think it will be a very nice speaker, not too small, not too big, but the 310 is collecting dust at home although it is better, it is difficult to cear easily

I bought the extreme 3 and a flip 6 a few years back and cranked them full blast for 12 hours a day while I worked in a seed treatment mill which was the noisiest place you’ll ever work. I used to have them plugged in to a battery pack while I worked and charged them on the mains while I was on my break. Even with the speakers connected and maxed out I still had to keep them within 15 feet of me to hear it well but when the machines were off it was like a mini rave in there. I always wanted the boombox 3 though and now the battery on my extreme 3 is dying off to the point where it only works while plugged in, I think I need to treat myself to the boombox for sure. I was eyeing up the new extreme with the interchangeable battery, but it doesn’t have the aux jack and that might be a dealbreaker for me. Otherwise you get a delay when using it to watch movies on a tablet or making music live.

Can y’all help me out: My car don’t have working speakers so lately I been using my charged 5 as my speaker but was considering buying boombox 3, should I just stick with my charged 5 and wait for a boom 4 or is it worth purchasing the boom 3? I typically have my speaker in the center of the vehicle facing forward but at times doesn’t feel loud enough and since it is small, does tend to roll around when I hit them turns a bit hard… Just trying to get some outside opinions

For me as boombox3 owner when you listen to it for too long its kind a exhausting. Unlike motion x600 it has a perfect audio specs. But the too low wattage thats the reason why it has low max volume.

I ordered the BB3 and sold my BB original which gave me about 5-6 hours on full volume on outdoor mode.
Please tell me how long will the BB3 last on full volume and bass boosted?

It's a really good speaker dogged by some design over-sights which are obvious for such an expensive piece of equipment.
Firstly, Why are the batteries not more simply replaceable? I've found after a year I have been lucky to ever get more than 6 hours out of it at decent volume. And have NEVER had the promised 24 hour battery life from it.
Volume? Even the little JBL Charge 5 can be as loud as the Boombox 3. The only advantage of the boombox is a heavier meatier sound with a rerasonably excellent wide audio spectrum, rather than volume (But it sure ain;t quiet)

Such a large speaker having so little means of input but for bluetooth? Why no aux-in? Why no ability to pop an SSD card in?

I think sometimes makers of these types of speakers tend to not be too sure which audience they are targetting. Little girls into sugary pop? Or grown people seriously into their music. Most of us grown ups who can afford these speakers tend not to like wi-fi/spotify etc. and prefer doing our own procuring for music.
