4) Don't assume anything about someone that you don't know anything about.
5) Once you put something online, it is out of your hands (even if you delete something).
6) Consider legal liability.
7) When you respond to someone humanize them before you respond.
8) Know that you could reach millions of people.
9) Be mindful that angels are recording everything.
10) Be mindful of its impact on your in-person social interactions with people.

I'm fortunate. FB forced my legal name on my account in 2015 by forcing me to upload my ID. Can't change it back to my Muslim name ever. And #5, yep, there's the "way back machine" that takes screen shots of everything and keeps it for YEARS ... Legal liability : my dad is an attorney, Al7md'Allah, so I was raised in a lifestyle of being accountable to all laws, and I'm not scared of the judicial system, I'll be in worse trouble with my dad, lol ... And while my FB is pretty much completely locked down, my Twitter, which I've only been constantly active on since September, is obviously not, and I'm a grammar freak, so I'm extra careful with those 280 characters.
