This man wrote an entire trash book on Lenin and now he actually admits he never read Lenin. This tells you everything you need to know about anti-communist intellectuals.

I was wondering when you or any other major ML YouTuber were gonna tackle the court jester of capitalism.

Ironically, Zizek was the one that taught me that communism wasn't a bad word. I had a long phase in which I listened to him religiously. Then I started to read and listen (Thanks to your channel most of the time ) more Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin, Mao and realize he's just another controlled opposition anti-communist grifter that uses the word communism for the shock value it always brings in western liberal circles.
On youtube there are the electoral debates from the Slovenian elections in 1989 he participated in. He's running for the "liberal-democratic" party, pushing for capitalist reforms against the Yugoslavian socialist system. There's really not much more to say

I used watch him because he is funny but I start to notice he says lot of contradictory stuff(you cannot excuse them by saying dialectic). He is no communist, he is what liberal media wants a communist to be, funny and goofy eccentric that doesn't actually threaten capitalism; rather reinforce liberalism.

"But have you considered that we won't be able to do burials and marriages in an atheist society????"

Wow, mind blown, never thought of it like that. We might have to rethink this whole Communism thing.

You ever hear Gabriel Rockhill talk about Zizek? The man really convinced me that Zizek is as Rockhill put it "Capitalism's court jester", a controlled opposition.

Bloody hell, he does love to rattle on and waffle endlessly and say very little with a rapid delivery of excessive words 🤦🤦

_Ahhhh, yes... Marxism's Neil DeGrasse Tyson._

I've never understood what people see in this man, but he speaks in utter word-salad so I can't even really articulate my issues with it when I hear it (obviously this video is a delightful-yet-painful exception).

Seconds after admitting he never read Lenin he claims Lenin abandoned what he wrote.... This guy should stick to having takes on the newest season of glee

Yeah, I’ve never been particularly impressed with him. I saw some of his Lenin and USSR comments a while back and even though I was in the VERY early stages of becoming an ML at the time it definitely made me raise an eyebrow.

Obviously these comments are the most harmful but personally the thing that’s always gotten to me the most about Zizek is his bad habit (which admittedly many people including myself do at times) of talking in circles and talking for a long time while seemingly saying very little.

Everybody read the recent CounterPunch article about him, "Capitalism's Court Jester."

It's odd to hear him defend the Jacobins and Robespierre, even admitting that most Revolutions have to go through, as he referrers to it, "Zero Level Jacobinism" wherein violence, repression, and ideological purity must be maintained, but he complains about the Bolsheviks, Lenin, and Stalin for their actions; the Bourgeoise did similar things in order to set up their system, with all the violence of enclosure and privatization, but when the Socialists use the same tactics for socializing and collectivizing, basically reversing the process but with technology, it is decried.

Ah yes, The Lenin's Testament, the most authentic and seminal and definitely not doctored piece of text by the great revolutionary.
