Thank you so much, I was looking for a way to manually create time stamps by clicking space or something at the start of the text and the end all the way till the video ends. Because "the create an automatic transcription" option wasn't gonna work for me this time, as I had to make a lyrics video and the time stamps already suggested made no sense!. So I guess I'll try this method as it seems easier to edit.
And please do let me know if there was a manual way where I can hit a key at the start or stop of every sentence to create the time code. Thanks

Many thanks David, that is very helpful. I was wondering if you know of an accurate way to generate subtitle timings automatically from a text file? I have a text file but without the timings so I need to generate timings to create the subtitles. Youtube itself can generate the timings, but the results are not so great - the timings are correct, but the subtitle word arrangement is very random. One subtitle may have many words, another just one word. If you know of a way such as using whisper, etc. which ideally is free that would be great. thanks

Right from the start I want to say that I appreciate you enormously and your personal vibe is angelic. I am very irritated and frustrated. I want to understand so many things, but I feel like a big idiot living for nothing. Programming I don't understand, audio production I don't understand, many other things I don't understand logically. With SubtitleEdit almost the same, although I do understand a few actions that I use. What the hell is Xml Content Translator 1.11???? More importantly, what the hell is the fade subtitle option, which has to be installed externally as a plug-in? Help me understand how I can save them [all plug-ins] in a folder so I have them handy if I don't have internet access>> There is another site where Subtitle Edit downloads templates for -voice to text- and there are quite a few options to download, which kind of makes you confused. And I get really annoyed.
