I have worked with maestra, until I discovered subtitle edit (thanks to David 👍). Subtitle edit is, hands down, the best! Maestra is very limited and quite expensive. Subtitle edit is free, and has about any features you can think of. The choice is a no-brainer for me :))

Excellent vid of the basics...all it needs IMO is a mention that "all the (online) auto processes need a paid subscription and may have limits on video length" - if that is true? (and if any retain your upload/work indefinately?), also that there is no way to download a program to auto-translate on your PC *** EDIT *** just saw your video 'How to Automatically Transcribe and Add Subtitles to a Video Using Subtitle Edit' WOW! (- if that is so? - and if there is such a program, it needs to be mentioned - doing it all on my PC is my personal & strong preferance). And disregard any negative comments re your speaking, it is simply fine - well done.

Very helpful and well explained. I have a question! YouTube (also Veed) will create accurate subtitles from a text file of the script. I want to find an application that will do that for me, for less than £10 a month (I'm a private creator and I don't have a budget apart from my pension!).
Is there a subtitling application that can synchronise a text file and video and produce a .SRT file?

Hi great video you made. When you save your work, and when you are gonna start where u left last time you just upload videofile and text file and your last work will be there, right? I have never done this before. Im currenting by free choice trying to translate a spanish subtitle from a video where the audio is in thai. The edit program dosen't seem to help with the translating. I can't understand thai or spanish. So Im using google translating and add the text to word document first. Cus the edit program can't seem to translate from thai to english. But mine way works to. Hello! I have been working with this software for a 2 weeks or so now. And it worked very good. Untill today I got a video file from work. When I started working with it. The audio gets delayed when a click "Play section". What has happend to it? It never did that before. Please help!
