You aren’t a baseball fan if you don’t appreciate moments like this.
Congratulations Miggy on a great career, from a Mariners fan.

My favorite Miggy moment is giving him a huge standing ovation at the K in KC when he clinched the triple crown. As a Royals fan in 2012 we didn't have a ton to root for but all of us Royals fans came out to see him clinch it. We were so proud to witness it happen in our division with such an amazing baseball personality. He tipped his cap to us and later said he appreciated us. Who doesn't love Miggy??? The dude killed my Royals time and time again and we still love him here. The way he had fun with the game is legendary.

As a Michigan farmer I can say the past decade plus this man has made 7 PM OUR must see TV...So many memories and lessons to be taken into the future from Miggys journey. Life is about persistence and kindness, and so is Miggy. Be kind and persist in what you do. Work to be a champion every day, and treat every one else like they are on that same mission.

One of the ALL-TIME greats...not just for his era, for ALL ERAs....MIggy was like yesterday I was watching him win a WS in FLA in 2003.

Not even a Tiger's fan and I got misty eyed watching this! What an amazing player he was. 3000 mark and the 500 mark in the same career. Definitely heading for Cooperstown.

Even though my Guardians lost, I can’t even be mad. This was truly amazing. Brought tears to my eyes.

I was in high school when he first suited up for the Tigers. Now I’m in my 30s. The number of at bats I watched of his. The number of times he came through in the clutch. I know it’s time, but it still doesn’t seem right that he’s played his last game. A new era for the Tigers has officially begun.

From New York, we say cheers. To a great man, competitor, and a legend…..thank you. As a pure baseball fan, you brought the game to all of us, played it with style, heart, but had fun. Left it all on the field and made all of us smile. What a moment. Next stop upstate. Congrats on a magic career.

May be the last MLB player for awhile to have reached 3, 000 hits. First ballot guy for sure.

the reason i fell in love with baseball. i will never forget seeing him smash home runs in the wbc in 2009 when i was a kid, then seeing him get a hit in the 2023 wbc in miami as an adult. a true baseball idol for us 🇻🇪 🔥
