Intel's Other Stock Cooler....

Most modern socket 1700 Intel Processors ship with the Laminar RM1 cooler. It's a small, covered in plastic, and does an adequate job. If you purchase a higher end CPU however, then you get the RH1, which is a lot bigger and generally unavailable on it's own.

I recently found one for just £10, which is cheaper than any other aftermarket option, so I just had to try it out with my i5 12400F.

Thanks for watching :)

The fact that they synchronized the logo backlight with the rpm just to make it appear as if it's doesn't move is honestly just very cool

I always like my CPU to be at 69°C for maximum efficency of course

8 degrees Celsius is a pretty decent margin for a cooler like that it's actually impressive especially for £10 + RGB, so that's a decent win.

2:45 Maybe not a MASSIVE difference, but 69c vs. 77c is a very nice upgrade in my book

I shoved an i5-11400 cooler (so previous generation of the modern Intel model) as a temporary heatsink onto an i7-2600K on a friend’s machine I built. With the most basic 4.2GHz overlock, it’s adequate! Though a tiny bit noisy when gaming…

Greetings from US :)

At least it's not a phone cooler, someone tried that recently and it worked with volcanic temperatures and great power efficiency

The Intel copper-core sinks are awesome. I have a few in my stash from a long time ago and one is currently sitting atop my ITX 4770 build. Thanks as always for the great content!

I had a spare one of these from my work, came in handy as I bent the legs out a bit to fit a 2011-3 socket with hex screws to cool a 6800K

These are basically those old Zalman coolers from the 00s. Nice.

I remember leaving a comment about this, thanks for making a video about it! Me and my coworker were doubling over laughing at the fact this existed. For a tenner though? Heck, I’d pick one up to cool a XX100F/XX400F

The push-pin mechanism of the Intel stock cooler is the invention of the devil.

I have the RH1 cooler installed in my i5-14600K mini ITX build. Performing well and very pleasing to look at! A bunch of friends and family call it "Iron Man's core" especially if the aRGB is set to a static blue. Pretty neat!

It seems like it would make much more sense to include these for the whole i5 range in prebuilts to lower the noise and increase the turbo duration.

I literally swear by this stuff.
Every build/refurb/re-paste I do includes it. CPUs, GPUs, If I've had it apart, I've splatted it with this gunk.

Good to see Intel is improving its stuff and bringing back the copper core.
