Home Generators - Super Quiet - No Smoke

Показать описание
This backup generator / standby generator makes an excellent home generator. Forget natural gas or propane. Diesel today produces far more power and cost far less to maintain.

Generators like this from Aurora make very little noise, no smoke and no visible exhaust.

We mounted on on a trailer for this video but normally it sits on the ground where it has a small foot print.

Unlike other generators, these ones are weather proof. You can take a garden house and soak it. They stay out in the rain and snow without a problem.

The generators are fully automatic and include a ATS. The fuel tank is also built in.

I see all the top quality components have been used, Perkins motor, ABB, Omron, powder coated steelwork, Smartgen controller (I love the one we have on our Iveco motor). Nice product, I like :-).

Where I used to live I might have had need of such a generator. But over a 10 year period I have only had maybe 3 hrs of power out in total. So I will keep my small generator for now. This is a very nice product though!

If your home exceeds the 10, 000 lifespan, it means you live in a disaster area and should move. Top notch product!

yes, but the sound pressure level must be measured when the generator is heavy loaded... and about the frequency stability? waweform distortion?

Ok, it's silent, now put it at 75% load

I sure would like to see one of these Aurora Perkins gensets running under load. That would be a lot more realistic, certainly a lot louder than the "50 decibels" mentioned in this video. A load bank test is EASY to arrange, so why not make a video of it. Not just for noise, but to also show frequency and voltage when loaded. Some brands (Cummins, Cat) are solid 60 Hz/240V while others bog to 58 Hz (or worse) and voltage is all over the map. Let's see what these Auroras can do!!! I'm VERY interested in replacing my noisy 3600 rpm gas generator for a quiet 1800 rpm diesel, but can't find ANYTHING on YouTube showing an Aurora under load.

Great, but what is the average cost for let’s say a 20kw?

2 questions/ 1- every how many Hours is it an all change 2- would it be able to work with just a solar system/battery banks and durable enough to run a one bedroom / 1.5 bathroom / kitchen with very little lighting and obviously a water heater and a fan for a propane furnace

Does Aurora think everyone is stupid, just because most people are ignorant?
No noise?  No smoke?  Under No-Load conditions, with nothing connected, even the loudest generators run fairly quietly.  They know that, but are willing to bet you don't!

Where do you store the diesel fuel and how long would it last. My 17KV Honeywell generator runs on natural gas and will operate for days, weeks or even months and one turn of a switch it will than run on propane as well.

can put it 100% load running for 10 days/ 24 hours continuously ?

it looks like you have to run main power out to the generator... or the transfer switch movable to a different place?

The bad thing about fuel (gas or diesel) generators is when they are out of fuel the chances of finding more fuel are slim to none. If you are out of power so will be the gas stations.
That's why I went with a natural gas unit.
If you ever get into a hurricane or storm situation the service stations are also out. If you find one open there will be a 2 mile long line with your limit is 5 gallons and then back to the end of the line.
Here in Houston they were rationing food and water. The people in charge of this would put a colored dot on the right side of your vehicle when you pulled up for your case of water and a few snack bars.
If you tried to get in line again they would see that mark on your car and wave you through, no more water or food. The military or police were standing guard if there was any trouble makers.
If things got really bad it would shoot the kill. No questions asked... "Marshal Law".
It's just reality.
