I purchased a Westinghouse iGen2500 last year. It has been fantastic. It's quiet, has nice digital features: hour meter, voltage output, wattage load, fuel level, and how much run time based upon power loading and fuel level. It has a 98cc 3.4 hp Ducar engine that will idle down to around 3, 100 +/- rpm and under high load up to 5, 500 rpm. It provides quite a lot in it's price range. Definitely recommended!

Instead of comparing the Honda 3000 you should have compared the Honda 2200 which is more in line with what the other models were for output.

Thank you for this helpful product comparison! I agree with acoustics engineer Jerry Grimes that simply giving a decibel number is not quite as absolute or "unbiased" as one might imagine. It would have been additionally helpful to hear each machine running to get an idea of each sound character (pitch, harmonics, etc.) and determine its subjective effect on us.

Also, one minor presentation criticism: It is usually discouraged for presenters to read bullet points verbatim. It is preferable to paraphrase each point using alternate - optimally shorter - word choices/sentence constructions.

Despite these seemingly negative comments, I found your video very relevant and highly professional. I will certainly come back to your channel for any sound-related issues in the future. Thank you!

Would have been helpful to have clips of them running so we can hear them. Yes it’s good to know how many decibels, but the pitch of the noise is a big factor too so I still don’t know if I could tolerate any of them.

Have an eu3000is and its over 10 years old. Never had one issue with it, powers a lot more then you think it can.

Comparing the Honda 3000W wasn't relevant, it's in a different class, and cost category. Should have compared the Honda 2000W.

I decided to go with a Firman 3200 watt generator from Costco. I would have loved to have picked up a Honda but the sticker shock was too much. For about $640 the Firman 3200 actually has the power to run my RV AC unit.
3200 Starting Watts / 2900 Running Watts.
It's slightly louder than what you have shown here but the price is great for the size considering that the Honda 3000 is around $2000. It also has the 30A RV outlet I needed for my camper and even has rubber outlet covers to keep the rain and dirt out. So far I only have about 30 hours on it but it has performed flawlessly so far.
