Hello and thank you for the explanation. If it is ok I will just add a small hint how to keybind the black.
Go to Settings -> Keymap -> External Tools -> Black then double click and you can add a shortcut.

Thank you for this nice video. The precise explanations were right to the point. Demonstrating what Black does, how it is installed and how it can be configured was very helpful.

I think it is even much easier to use now in the current version of PyCharm or maybe it is only easier in the Professional Edition which I am using at work.

Thank you, did it in intellij and works perfectly! I just changed the black source to be my project venv inside wsl2.

I prefer to turn off "Auto-save edited files to trigger watcher" because it saves file and reformats it while you are writing a code. Without auto-save it works as Prettier in Webstorm
