Yes. They went. Not into "outer space" but to the border (debated by scientists what the actual border is). It's a Blue Origin 11 minute round- trip up through the atmosphere, 62 miles above Earth, and touchdown with a parachute landing the capsule. It was the 31st trip up. It happened.
