I’m here to thank you. I had the opposite problem, my headphones stopped working. Toggling the blue tooth switch had no effect but a simple restart did the trick. Not sure why I forgot that basic wisdom, but I had, so thank you for restoring my late night insomniac YouTube sessions, while my husband sleeps on peacefully!

I tried everything this guy recommended plus things from the Apple discussion board and nothing worked. What did work was taking one of those pumps you use for a basketball/football and inserting the tip of the silver piece just a little bit inside the headphone jack and pushing a small amount of air into it. The sound immediately started working again. So if you don't have an air compressor or a can of compressed air laying around a ball pump will work.

I used the reset all settings method and then connected my actual headphones then disconnected it works finally🎉🎉😢

You can try switching the airdrop mode and switching it back to receivings off

Ok the restart method only worked if you keep the headset plugged in while resting then take them out after it comes back on

I restarted my iPad, done the reset settings thing you did and everything and its still showing the headphone icon when i dont have my headphones plugged in

Guys I got a q-tip and put it in my headphone bit and waited a minutes and then reset and put on my iPad again and it worked.

If you never even put in any headphones into your iPad, just keep airplane mode for a while. It actually works and your sound should come back!

Hello guys this is how I fixed my iPad first off turn on airplane mode after 20 mins turn it off or reset your iPad and wait till the next day it hepls so much:)
