The headphone input is dirty and the device thinks something is plugged in. Use a Q-tip with most of the cotton stripped off and apply a little alcohol then clean out the headphone input. I have also used the corners of facial cotton pads. This happened to me with an iPhone and an iPad. Works every time.

Call audio recording lets you choose a setting where you can adjust the option of listening to a call, such as a headphone or a loudspeaker. You can adjust the settings of your iPad and set it to the loud speaker to get out of the headphone mode. Here are steps to adjust call audio recording:

Go to iPad Settings
Locate Accessibility.
Select Touch
Click Call audio recording and switch to the speaker.

Other ways to do it
1. Turn off and on Airplane mode many times
2. Plug and un plug charger many times
3. plug and un plug headphones many times
4. Shut down ipad many times
5. Volume up and down many times

I recommend to do it all, it might not work when you do it all for now, also after you do that, make sure that u used up all your battery and charge it. And when you wake up it will gone :))

Best advice on comments, clean with cotton bud then put earphones Jack in and out quickly, all the way (sound familiar?) many times and sound comes back!
