My wardrobe is largely black and white but I’ve always had red shoes, red handbags, red jackets and coats in my wardrobe. I love that pop of colour and it’s an empowering colour that always makes me feel great! I also use a lot of scarves to add colour to my basic pieces.

Seeing this video came at a good time for me. I didnt realize people styled bold color combinations in real life. Im going vintage and the 1950's color pallete can be bright and out of place in today's fashion trends. But now I think I'm confident enough to try it out.

Thanks for colour tips especially with winter approaching and the monochromatic outside world here in Canada. I love cool reds and blues even in home decor! I went away from reds for awhile - because I was the only one I knew who had a red laundry load - but I have come back to it and loving it.... not the laundry part. Thanks!

Great tips! Rather than thinking of my color "season" as restrictive, I find it helps me keep my wardrobe from growing out of hand and saves time and money when shopping. It also helps keep the items interchangeable. Perhaps it's easier for me than some people - from as far back as I can remember, I've never liked colors that I later found were not in my color temperature. Learning of the split-primary color theory several years ago was also enlightening.

A fantastic tip about wearing colors that may not compliment your skin tone as shoes, pants or accessories! I love green but very rarely find tops that look good on me, I’m definitely going to look for some green pants 😁

You did a wonderful job explaining what is a very complex topic. You have to experiment with color and see what works for you. I love color and certain colors like red always make me feel terrific. Black is awful on me and I use navy as one of my go to neutrals. When you put together an outfit and it makes you look and feel great, that confidence will shine through.
