Mahindra Thar’s 5-door version - Roxx - was finally launched in India on the evening of India’s 77th Independence Day. Similar to the 3-door version, it’s based on the same Scorpio N platform but several changes has been made to it to accommodate an extra row of seats and a bigger boot. The vehicle’s cabin too has seen an overhaul as it receives a revised dashboard layout that now accommodates a new 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch instrument cluster screen, soft touch material on top of the dash, a 360 degree camera, ventilated seats, electrically-adjustable driver seat, auto-dimming IRVM, panaromic sunroof, harmon-kardon music system, wireless charger, wireless apple carplay and android auto among others. So far we only know the prices of its base variants, the petrol base costs Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and the diesel base costs Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). More details on its performance will be updated on 17th August. Stay tuned for that.
