All style no substance. No mention of fuel economy, no mention of the dimensions of the vehicle. No mention about how it feels to drive in the city, whether or not its easy to make U-turns, nothing about the braking performance either. These are the things that actually matter in a car. But everyone's commenting on the damn white interiors and the name for some reason. So its pretty clear that the Indian consumer buys a vehicle on how it makes them feel rather than base it on practicality. I for one do not understand who this car is for. Clearly its not for offroaders with the sunroof and the white interior. Clearly its not for families as it is not as comfortable as say a Creta, or a Grand Vitara. The person looking for this car is someone who gets it solely for the rugged looks.

So you are getting a true SUV at the cost of a Creta with at-par features, performance, and better off-road capability. Hats off to Mahindra for doing this, this can surely affect the compact SUV sales, as already the 3-door Thar is in high demand. This car also seems worth spending over the 3-door Thar, due to the better features, space, and comfort...

Those complaining about the white leather, I can tell few things to note: Most customers will be city/highway users and less often into off-road situations. People want more status, attention to detail, road presence, and comfort. Hence, the white leather can do the job well, but I also agree that brown/black leather could have been an option for off-road enthusiasts.
