Great Yamaha! I see a new 61 key CS and DX coming. The big Reface brotherhood!!!
And for people asking or commenting that should be also a 73 key version you are just looking at it the wrong way. There is the CP with both 73 and 88 keys, where it fits just right for pianos. This YC61 fits just right as an organ and you could add it another one and set it as the above or below keyboard. It's just perfect.

This is what I think musicians are looking for. A "Combo" type keyboard with Organ drawbars. Nord Stage / electro, Hammond SK1, Vox Continental, Roland VR-09 / 730 Crumar Mojo 61 among others and now this one. The Korg SV1 (now SV2) is similar but without Organ Drawbars along with the Crumar 7 and Viscount 70

I was getting really excited....then I saw the price.

It would have been also gorgeous in red, in 60s Yamaha YC red actually.
But I guess people would wrongly think they followed the Nord styling

We need a YC73 or 76 keys version. How is this different from CP73/88? (other than the number of keys and drawbars?). And please, include sounds from the legendary Yamaha synths, like CS 80, SK 30, etc. Thanks!

Impressive! The 61 key is perfect for me. Will there be an 88 key or other sizes?

At last!! Yamaha jumps into the combo keyboards market, to join the Nord Electros, Roland VRs, Hammond SKs, Mojo, etc. The YC 61 looks promising, surely built up to Yamaha high quality standards. However, I would've loved this keyboard to be 73-key. That would've made this keyboard to be the definite choice, even though it's a bit pricey. Add those extra keys now, and I'll buy the YC 73 tomorrow. Only then, I will consider "The Stage Keyboard Reinvented"

Would really love to be able to tune each key separately Terry Riley style!

Can you get it with organ-type foot pedals?

Is there a music rest available for it? If not, that's a deal breaker for me because I play from lead sheets and real books. The Nord Electro 6D has one.

Interesting, basically it is a CP88 with 61 keys and an extra drawbar organ section.

At last. A stage keyboard from Yamaha. Great organ but does it have piano, electric piano and synth and rhythm section? And what is the price?

There is a mistake on the German Yamaha product page: "welche den DX7 mit seinen 8-Operatoren zum berühmtesten FM-Synthesizer aller Zeiten machte" >> Unlike the Montage the original DX7 had only 6 operators! Some young people working for you NOT even knowing the basics? C'mon...

Answer to Roland VR 09 - but with 2000 a bit expensive

I hope Yamaha avoids the Nord blunder and includes horn/woofer balance and microphone distance in their rotary tweaking choices

Why have Yamaha changed their pitch wheel into a stick like on other rival branded keyboards? This is a big reason I avoid Roland and Korg keyboards.
