Space Saving Plywood Rack // Workshop Organization

One of my big needs for workshop organization was to get a solution for my plywood storage. The main space I have available tends to get wet when it rains, so I needed to elevate the wood and add some extra storage for smaller pieces. This thin profile, stationary plywood rack was my solution. It is a great way to help keep a smaller shop organized and functional.

I just built a variant of this. Thanks for the inspiration. I didn't use the leveling feet, but used pressure-treated 2x2 instead, since the floor was "close enough. I've spent the last year getting the shop in order after I had to completely gut and rebuild the interior. This is a milestone for me getting things organized.

my wood storage is a shit fight but I’m liking your simple and quick build and keeping it off the floor is a win

I really do enjoy your channel. Your garage woodworking projects are exactly what I need, I guess one day my garage will look like yours. Thank you!

Before I made my sheet goods cart, I had them leaning against the wall similar to this, but up on chunks of scrap 2-by material to keep them dry. This certainly looks a lot neater and more 'on purpose' than that. I had wanted a slim-line like this, but with wheels instead of the levelers, and a pivot attached to the wall at one end, but couldn't figure a good solution for the floor changing height, getting lower nearer the garage door. So I just ended up spending more on wood and wheels and made a regular cart, since I needed to move the whole pile on occasion.

I see you've replaced your old jigsaw! Nice simple project here to keep a small shop tidy...good job.

Really need to make one of these. So many times I’ve lost bottom edges of sheet goods due to water damage as I store my scraps in the same area.

Nice design. Simple but I have the same issue so this is good. Would be nice if you shared a few measurements, i.e., how far out did you build the bottom. I'd buy your plans just to support the work but can't find those. But again, thanks.
