Vauxhall Meriva MPV review - CarBuyer

Показать описание

Thanks to its unusual rear-hinged back doors, the Vauxhall Meriva dares to be different in the small MPV class, and with great success! The Meriva is designed to provide practical transport for growing families, and it delivers - with excellent interior versatility, robust build quality and decent space for up to five people. The engine line-up consists of small petrol engines, and a pair of diesels - although they're more expensive to buy than the petrol alternatives.

It’s crazy seeing Matt Watson here, nine years ago, considering he’s doing videos for carwow now

Drove this car on a ski trip in Austria by far the best car with best engine I have driven for a long time. Little engine pulled strongly with four adults and ski gear. Great space inside good on the motorway and economical by far a great car.

Rented one of these on a ski trip in the Austrian Alps. Four people plus all the luggage and skis and it was excellent. A really surprising small car and that 1.4 litre turbo engine is surprisingly willing to pull up the mountains fully loaded. Lots of storage and very comfortable. Only downside was the heavy fuel consumption on short runs, perhaps the diesel would be better.

had this car for 2 years and never knew the steering wheel could pull out so would be closer just tried it and wow also they have a built in pump in the boot behind the panel on the offside driver side!

I've just bought the 2011 1.7 diesel model to replace my 2005 1.4 petrol Meriva. This looks like a massive upgrade in every sense.

So my uncle's 2007 Opel/Vauxhall corsa air conditioner didn't work, they gave him a loaner. They gave him a 2007 meriva. I remember riding in it. (sorry for bad English)

Love these weird looking vehicles like the Ford B-Max, Opel Meriva, Honda FR-V, etc. more than I love any stupid and expensive Audi, Mercedes, or Lexus. I wish they sold them in North America but the closest thing to these types of vehicles are subcompact crossover Subs like Honda HR-V and Ford EcoSport.

Didn't check whether the exhausts were fake or not.

Had my 2012 1.4 Turbo s.e for a year now, Paid 2850 for it, Crazy to think not that long ago this car was over 20k! It's got 125.000 on the clock and still going well. The only complaint is back in the winter I had an annoying open door alarm constantly going off for no reason at all, It did stop after a can of wd40 was squirted inside the door card. Not a bad car, Bit bland but does the job.

Wow! What an innovation! Rear opening rear doors.
Most cars had those in the 1930s. What next? Running boards?

And Vauxhall were the one that created the Astra. The rest are made by Opel.
