Owned a 2013 1.4t 120bhp since 2018. 54k on the clock at the moment and the faults I've had so far are:-
Boot switch failed (28k)
Coolant header tank split (40k)
Coolant tank to thermostat pipe elbow faliure (50k)
Coil pack faliure (35k)
Random non start with imobiliser symbol on dash (random since 38k)
Both rear coil springs snapped (40k)
Power steering pipe leak (45k)
Drivers seat side trim always breaks (very common)
Half leather drivers seat cracks, in leather on base.
All the above have been easy self repairs and other than that, it has been a great car.

Edit: Had front crank seal replaced by my local garage due to the common squeaking noise. 56K

Have one with 120 000km, issues that I encountered - coolant pipe replaced, water pump replaced and crank shaft seal replaced. Still doing great on the road due to regular maintenance at 15 000 km

I've had my 16 reg.2 weeks not happy with clutch judder and boot lock probs.going back to dealer today, but it is a nice smooth engine.😢

I bought a 2010 1.4t (120hp) 2 1/2 yeas ago @ 85000 miles. Over the last 40, 000 miles I’ve replaced the coolant tank, and a coolant hose, it’s had a new turbo, clutch and a second hand gearbox. Just about to replace the drive belt tensioner and oil pressure switch
