0:55 Honestly, the cops could have done a better job here. There was still space before the shuttle closed and they could have easily went under to continue the chase. There was so much lost time here. Just imagine if that escapee did not steal a vehicle. They might not even have caught him if he was smart enough to stay under the radar.

Should have been mentioned: Robert A. Litchfield literally walked out of Leavenworth Federal Pen on March 10th, (year unknown). Walking right past guards through the visiting room, disguised as a federal safety inspector. He was recaptured about a month later. This happened after he escaped from the federal prison in Talladega, Alabama in February of 1986.

These people escaping and then calling their boyfriend/girlfriends, stealing cars or going to motels are stupid and too ambitious early on. It would be tough, but I wouldn't call anyone. I'd take my chances on my own hit the woods, or hang out with some homeless people and live like shit with no phone until the initial dragnet died down a little and plan from there, slowly. I know I'd want help but To me, The more people you involve, the higher the risk of someone doing something stupid or ratting you out.

Rule 1. Do not contact friends or families. Escape is not the problem. Staying under the radar.
Rule 2. Mask your facial features.
3. Do not steal things that may attract police search.
